School District Table Tennis Tournament at “Lions Public school” on 29th July, 2015
Our School participate in School District Table Tennis Tournament at “Lions Public school” on 29th July,2015. There was team matches as well as individual trills. In team event we lost the 1st match with DPS Sec. 45 but in individual Trail one of our student Srushti got selected for the state team.
The position matches for Guragon distinct team was held in “Titans academy Sector 4” on 2nd August, 2015. There were 5 girls are selected form all over Gurgaon and they played for the position in the League Matches.
Srushti played 4 matches and she won all the matches and secured First position in Gurgaon School District Table Tennis Team.

4 of our students – Meha Ahuja, Keya Chaturvedi, Devika Singh Bisht and Vaidehi Badrinath participated in the event and got selected for State Gymnastics Championship
District Level Matches held on 4th August
Our Girls team in under 14 category won their first match against Ajanta Public School by 24-0
In Under 17 Category our team won the first match against Scottish High by 14-4 and in Under 17 Category we won the second match with Amity Sec-46 by 17-14.
We lost semi final against Shree Ram Molsari by 24-4
Block Level Cricket Tournament
Shikshantar played against Manav Rachna School in Under 14 category. Shikshantar scored 39 runs in 10 overs for the lose of 9 wickets. Aryan Jain scored 18 runs.
Manav Rachna chased the targer in 8.5 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.
In Under 19 category, Shikshantar played against Drona Public school. Shikshantar scored 59 runs in 10 overs for the lose of 8 wicket. Harsh scored 20 runs and Rijul scored 15 runs.
Drona Public School chased the target in 9.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets
Itihaas Gwalior Learning Module
In Gwalior, the children first visited the Jaivilas Palace, a museum set in the palace of the Scindia royal family. The children then visited Rani Laxmibai Park, the cremation site of the Rani of Jhansi, and were moved and inspired by the story of her heroic fight against the British. The children then witnessed the famous sound and light show at Gwalior fort and were introduced to several legends related to the fort and how the fort exchanged hands between several dynasties.
Day 2 was an excursion to Gwalior fort where the children connected more deeply to the legends narrated the previous evening. They also explored the intricacies of Hindu fort architecture and were able to imagine how the kings and queens may have lived (and died). The evening was dedicated to creating and performing role plays based on the legends of Gwalior fort.
Day 3 comprised of a visit to Sarod Ghar and Tansen ka Makbara. Sarod ghar is the ancestral ‘haveli’ of sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan which has been converted into a museum devoted to the evolution of the sarod. Post lunch, a visit to Tansen ka Makbara was organised, which is a tomb built by emperor Akbar in honour of Tansen. Right next to Tansen’s makbara lies the makbara of Mohammad Ghaus, Tansen’s musical guru. Several stories related to the genius of Tansen were also narrated. This was followed by tea and departure for the railway station.
Jee Jaan Se Khelenge Football Tournament
Under-12 Football Team has won the 4 days Inter School “Jee Janse Khelenge Football Tournament” organized by Dynamos Football Club from 19th to 22nd August 2014. Avi Narula and Aviral of U-12 category is declared “Best Goalkeeper” and “Best Player” of the Tournament respectively.
Children of Class V participated in the Itihaas-Anveshan ‘In verse” organised by Itihaas, an organisation working for promotion and understanding the heritage education in schools. The children had to research about a built heritage monument of India and write a poem, containing information, facts, anecdotes about the monument and its builder and set to tune. This was a first ever competition of its kind with four thousand participants and two hundred songs. The verse on Cellular Jail at Port Blair titled ‘Kaala Pani’ was written, composed and presented by the children of Class V, was adjudged the ‘Best Song’ on a heritage monument based on creativity, research and innovation, lyrics and tune.
