Christmas Celebration 2024
As the year draws to a close, we find ourselves stepping into December’s chilly mornings, seeking the warmth of sunshine and the joy of togetherness. The gentle hum of Christmas carols fills the air, preparing to bid farewell to the year.
Reflecting on its moments of Joy, Kindness and Gratitude, children from Pre Primary made Christmas decorations and buntings from the paper cutouts with their drawings and thoughts around kindness, joy and gratitude. The children from Sprouting Seeds related to the stories around gratefulness and help through their favourite character, ‘The red-nosed Reindeer’.
The Primary School created a colourful tree of gratitude, adorning it with displays of their messages on experiences around ‘Gratitude’. Clay figurines made by the children reflecting what Christmas represented to them and a beautiful manger were displayed.
As part of their project 'Joy of Giving,' the Class VIII children ushered in the festive spirit by collaborating in groups. They read inspiring stories, learnt carols in music class, and crafted handmade decorations such as trees, wreaths, reindeer, and more in their art class. In the spirit of the season, Class VIII children had recently visited Sugam NGO for an inclusive session where they had facilitated art activities and storytelling. On Christmas Eve the children from Sugam participated in the Christmas Celebration at Shikshantar and the school came alive with their melodious Christmas carols, spreading the warmth of the season. The exchange concluded with enjoying the cookies and sandwiches made by our children and singing carols together, bringing cheer and excitement for the approaching new year.
