Save Our Forest!
An event “Save Our Forest” was organised by friends of the Aravali Biodiversity Park (which included concerned citizens, communities of Naturalists, Birders, Photographers, Walkers, Runners, city schools and colleges) on 14th November 2018. The idea behind the event was to bring the attention of the government authorities to the future they are proposing for our children by cutting a six-lane highway through the heart of Gurugram’s green lungs. Students of Classes VII, VIII, IX and XI accompanied by their facilitators participated in the event by forming a human chain, holding placards to convey their message in a peaceful yet powerful manner. The children have also written letters to the Chief Minister of Haryana and the Prime Minister of India requesting them to “Save Our forest”.
