Eid Celebration Primary School
Upholding the spirit of caring and brotherhood, Eid was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the children of Primary School. The festive spirit could be felt with the children dressed in traditional clothes and Eid caps decorated with colourful patterns made by the children.
The children had all their eyes and ears on Didis and Bhaiyas who enacted ‘Hamid ka Chimta’ from ‘Eidgah’ by Munshi PremChand and narrated the story along. It helped children connect with their inner self and relate to the sensitive role of Hamid, a young boy (played by Didi) and his love and care for his grandmother (played by Bhaiya).
They enjoyed swaying and singing Oh Allah! place light in my eyes, ears and heart...’, ‘Aah dekho nikla chand...’. This being the first large group celebration in the new session - beginning of new learnings, the celebration ended with the thought of how sharing and caring leads to happiness.
