Mann Karta Hai 2025
मन करता है,
बादल को touch कर लूँ।
मन करता है,
पानी में बहुत सारा झप झप करूँ।
Our young children of Sprouting Seeds practice living in the moment to the hilt. Their minds flitter and flutter at every prompt from their surroundings. Nandanam, sandpits, fish pond or Vanar Vatika, they explore each school space with abandon.
Their journey of comfort and ease with their school was shared with family members through ‘Mann Karta Hai’, an annual event especially marked on the Shikshantar calendar for the youngest members of our family.
Singing some of their favourite songs while seated under the canopy of the Gulmohar tree of Nandanam, they enthralled all the adults assembled on the mound. While some parents and grand-parents joined them by singing along, others quietly absorbed the magical moments unfolding before their eyes. The joy of the children while engaged in all that they were doing was very visible to everyone. When it was time to indulge in some ‘Oorja’ exercises, the little ones showed how their body strength and stamina had gradually developed with regular exposure to physical challenges. Maintaining their body balance while walking on a row of bricks, hopping in and out of hooplas, playing relay games, children exuded independence and love for all physical activities.
Holding the memento of a little potted jade plant in their hands, our friends of Sprouting Seeds suddenly looked older and ready to take on more responsibilities.
All in all, it was a refreshing day spent outdoors with family, friends and groups of energetic young children.
