Embracing the new space – Mini Amphitheatre
At Shikshantar, there is never a dull day, and excitement always awaits the children at school. Today was no exception! On a bright Friday morning, the young ones from the Primary School set aside their bags and gathered at a spot just outside their classrooms. Their conversations filled the air, "What's in store for our circle time today?" , "Didi, were these little steps made just for us?" Their enthusiasm knew no bounds when they noticed their didis and bhaiyas all converging at one place - our brand new Mini Amphitheatre.
Happily, they settled down on the steps surrounding three majestic trees and the well-ploughed, levelled earth. The circle time commenced with the children and Minoti didi lighting a Diya to inaugurate this new space for exploration and discovery. After collecting energies, Minoti didi narrated the journey of this special area - how it was once filled with rocks and plants until she felt the space whispering to her, urging to be transformed into a place where children could play, learn, explore, and even do gardening. The fourth-grade children joyfully shared their ideas about how they could use this little amphitheatre for art, music, and dance. Their excitement was contagious as they envisioned a pathway leading from the amphitheatre to the Butterfly Garden. The magical experience of this unique circle time culminated in the children singing songs like "Teri hai zami, teraa asmaan…"Everything I am…" and our very own "Shikshantar song…" while sowing grass in their Mini Amphitheatre, anticipating the many memorable experiences that would follow.
