Transition-First day in a new class
Moving up to a new classroom is an exciting time filled with fun and opportunity for children across the grades. 28th March 2023 was one such day in our school schedule.
We welcomed happy faces with children beaming with excitement of many possibilities and new experiences. The children were already prepared for transition, by having visited the new classroom multiple times in the week leading up to the transition. They were all eager to be in the new spaces and looked forward to exploring the world around with their facilitators. We always try to create a facilitator team of one who transitions with the children to give them the comfort of a familiar face and the other who receives them and gives the children an opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and make new connections to explore and expand their world.
The children began their new day in the new class with lighting the diya which brings positive energy to the place and people around it indicating new beginnings and happy moments.
‘Change is constant’ and each one of us responds to it in a different way.
Transition for our children will be a milestone worth celebrating and preparing and this transition will be seamless. Their resilience and natural curiosity will contribute to their new experiences and discoveries.
