Shikshantar University Admissions Team facilitates the Path Ahead Career Guidance Programme in order to provide comprehensive resources and guidance to help students make meaningful higher education choices.

The counsellors on the team work collaboratively with students, parents, facilitators, professionals and university representatives to present to them opportunities and options that best align with their talents and ethos. The team works closely with the children, observing their work in a variety of settings and providing resources and guidance to help students understand different career options based on their interests, skills, and values.

Self Reflection Exercises

Based on established psychological parameters, self-reflection exercise is conducted once every year, throughout the high school years in Shikshantar. The questions allow students to look inward and reflect on their interest, engagement and performance.

One-on-One Counselling

The counsellors on the UA team meet with students and/or parents one-on-one to discuss their goals and their preparation thereof, offering personalized advice for subject choices and career planning.

Workshops and Seminars

Experts and working professionals are invited throughout the year to interact with high school students and guide them on their journey. During these sessions, the university representatives or industry experts are invited to connect with the children and share insights on admissions, emerging fields of study, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects.

Path Ahead University Representation

The Annual Path Ahead Event is organized for Classes IX to XII in a university fair format. This event allows students to engage in one-on-one discussions with university representatives, alumni, and industry experts, providing them with insights into admissions, campus life, and career opportunities.

Personal Statements and College Essays

Sessions are conducted to make students aware of the nuances of writing an effective personal essay as part of their university application process. Personalised guidance is provided on their work.

Alumni Interaction

The team connects the current students with the alumni for guidance. The alumni are called to school for collective discussions and career exploration.

Profile Building

Shikshantar provides ample opportunities for the students to showcase and hone their public speaking, organisational and leadership skills along with team work, critical thinking and collaborative learning. This includes debates, MUNs, school magazine, Lit Fest, declamation competition, sports events etc. There are Student Council initiatives that along with a plethora of inter-school events that the students can participate and excel in. The UA team takes all these engagements into consideration when drafting the recommendation for each child.

Guidance through the Application Process

The UA team processes all the college admissions related requests for India and abroad, including writing letters of recommendation, providing transcripts, school profile and other documentation.

Networking and Capacity Building

The team proactively works with university representatives to stay updated on the dynamic field of higher education. new courses, new-age careers and any changes in the application requirements. The team also works with the academic team on crafting impactful and effective recommendations.
