Sports Day for Classes V and VI
Sports Day for Classes V and VI was organised on 28th February 2023. It was a culmination of different sports activities explored by the children. The day reflected hardwork and creativity by the children of classes V and VI and the sports facilitators. The first half consisted of presentations of different skills by the children. The children went down the memory lane and revisited their Oorja days during the Covid years and presented their skills through "Vyayamshala". They presented yoga, cardio exercises, skipping, martial arts and the skills of cricket, table tennis, basketball and football. The back lawn was charged with patriotism with the captivating presentation ‘Together We Can’ . The children created the formation of the ‘National Flag’ and the national flower ‘Lotus’ holding footballs painted in the colours of the national flag. The mesmerising presentation of ‘Yogastics’ and ‘Castellers' displayed coordination and team spirit. Yogastics was a perfect blend of harmony combining the calmness of our breath and the graceful rhythmic skills of the little gymnasts. The presentation ‘Castellers’ - a human pyramid, took our breath away. The children formed the pyramids with perfect balance and strength. The bright sunny day enthused the parents to join the fun games "Tug of war" and "Passing the ball."
The sports day left us all with a renewed energy and admiration of the resilience and team spirit exhibited by the children of Class V and VI.
